Destinations. I started playing around with ideas on possible destinations around the beginning of 2012. For a long time I had wanted to take time out to travel for a while. Like everything else in my life, if I’m going to do something, I’ll do it properly! I wanted to visit the CrossFit Games. I wanted to snowboard at some top mountains in North America and Japan. I wanted to explore Latin America and learn Spanish. I wanted to visit family in the United Kingdom. And, of course I want to check out as many different CrossFit boxes on my journey as I can. And so, when I started to look at dates and started scribbling on a map it looked kind of like this….
Travel plan & Crossfit Boxes. My itinerary is outlined below and includes a wish list of the boxes and other destinations I would like to visit along the way. At this stage it is just indicative and as my itinerary firms up I will provide more detail. Needless to say I’m hoping to experience and see a wide range of different CrossFit boxes during my journey – from small family orientated boxes to large Reebok sponsored affiliates and everything in between. I am in the process of contacting boxes to see if I can drop in or to see about the chance of having someone willing to host me. Please feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions or want me to visit your box!! Those destination or boxes listed below with ‘ticks’ I have already visited and written about. While you’re in Colorado, see if you can visit my old box Conviction CrossFit in Erie. I miss them so much!! And in New York, DEFINITELY go to CrossFit Hell’s Kitchen. Anthony will look after you! If you get to Las Vegas, CrossFit Max Effort with Zach Forrest and Lindsay Andrew will look after you – my besties 🙂 Tell all of them that Shiela (Shayla) from Australia sent you 🙂 I see you already went to CrossFit Amundson which will be my future box! Greg is awesome! And I know you’ve done SoCal, but CrossFit No Boundaries in Dana Point is great, as is CrossFit Invictus in San Diego.
Hi Shayla, Thanks so much for your suggestions!!! I love your blog too BTW! When do you start in Santa Cruz?
